Daily – quick clean
Ready to go in only 3 minutes.
A quick daily cleaning is recommended if the tool is heavily used
or painted rivets are being installed. Follow these easy steps:
1. Remove the battery from the tool.
2. Unscrew the head using a 14mm, 24mm or
adjustable flat wrench. Sometimes a 27mm
wrench may be required depending on tool.
3. Remove the deposits and dirt in the head.
Note: If using a BULB-TITE
®
nosepiece, a 12mm wrench is required.

Tool warranty

All GESIPA
®
rivet tools purchased after May 1, 2013 come with a 24-month warranty, 12 months
for batteries. In each case, the conditions set forth in the instruction manual shall apply (proof
by invoice or delivery note required).
Damages resulting from natural wear and tear, overloading, use of unsuitable batteries or inex-
pert handling will be excluded from the warranty. Damages resulting from material or manu-
facturing faults will be repaired or replaced free of charge. Claims can only be accepted if the
complete riveting tool is returned to the distributor of GESIPA
4. Clean the nose tip from deposits and
sparingly lubricate or grease.
5. Re-attach the nose and the tool is ready to go!

Weekly maintenance

A weekly cleaning of the tool is recommended if it is heavily used or
painted rivets are being installed.
1. Remove the battery from the tool.
2. Unscrew the head using a 14mm, 24mm or
adjustable flat wrench. Sometimes a 27mm
wrench may be required depending on tool.
3. Remove the deposits and dirt in the head.
4. Open the jaw mechanism with two wrenches:
PowerBird
®
Pro & AccuBird
®
Pro – use 2 x 17mm
wrenches; PowerBird
®
& Accubird
®
– use a 14mm
and 17mm wrench.
5. Take the jaw out (3 pieces) and clean them
with a brush.
6. Replace rusty or blunt jaws with new ones.
7. Grease the inside of the jaw housing. Put
jaws back in place and re-assemble
mechanism with two wrenches.
8. Clean the front of nose piece.
9. Re-attach the head to the tool.
