2. Plug the USB or parallel interface cable into the printer's USB
or parallel connector, as shown below.

3. Plug the other end of the cable into the computer's USB or
parallel interface connector.
Note:
If you want to connect the printer to your computer though an installed
optional interface card, you need a different type of cable. See the optional
interface card's manual.
