Also be sure to take note of content marked with a on individual pages. The warranty is included in this manual. Keep this manual somewhere safe after reading it.

  • Page 4 Important Precautions Safety Precautions Read these safety precautions carefully before use to ensure correct use. The precautions described in this manual must be followed to ensure safe use of this product and prevent hazards to you and other people, as well as damage to the product. The following classifications indicate hazards or damage that could result from improper use.
  • Page 5 WARNING Do not place the product inside a microwave or a high-pressure container. Doing so may cause overheating, rupture, or ignition. Do not puncture with a nail, hit with a hammer, or step on the product. Doing so may cause electric shock, overheating, rupture, or ignition. Do not disassemble or modify the product.
  • Page 6 WARNING Do not charge the product near fire. Doing so may have an effect on the safeguards, causing overheating, rupture, or ignition. Do not subject the product to strong impacts or throw the product. Doing so may cause overheating, rupture, or ignition. Do not use the product with wet hands.
  • Page 7 Do not allow metal or other materials to come into contact with the metal terminal. Do not transport or store with metallic necklaces, hair pins, etc. Doing so may cause overheating, rupture, or ignition. Do not solder directly onto the metal terminal. The heat from soldering may cause the insulation to melt or damage the gas discharge valve or the safeguards, resulting in overheating, rupture, or ignition.
  • Page 8 Do not use, charge, or store in a location accessible by young children. Unsupervised handling of the product can be dangerous. This product is for use only with BALMUDA products. Please see the individual instruction manual to determine compatibility with this product.
  • Page 9 Stop charging after the specified charging time even if charging is not complete. Charging beyond the specified charging time may cause overheating, rupture, or ignition. Avoid using the product in rooms with pets whenever possible. Because incorrect use of the product may cause an accident or fire, keep an eye on any pets in the room where the product is being used.
  • Page 10 WARNING If the battery leaks, do not allow the leaked fluid to come into contact with skin or the eyes. If the fluid comes into contact with the skin, inflammation may occur. Rinse the area with a small amount of soap and plenty of water.
  • Page 11 When transporting the product, pack it firmly to prevent drops and short-circuits with the metal terminal. Failure to do so may cause overheating, rupture, or ignition. When recycling the Battery Pack, use plastic tape or some other means to cover the metal terminals. Failure to do so may cause a short-circuit resulting in fire or smoke.
  • Page 12 CAUTION Do not use the device in a location where temperatures may fall below 10°C or exceed 35°C. Doing so may cause battery leakage, overheating, rupture, or ignition. Do not place in direct sunlight or other high-temperature locations. Doing so may cause deformation, discoloration, or leakage of the battery.
  • Page 13 The product includes safeguards to prevent dangerous situations. Do not use, charge, or store the product in a location where static electricity may affect these safeguards. Doing so may cause overheating, rupture, or ignition. Wipe the battery terminals with a clean dry cloth if they become dirty. Children shall not play with the appliance.
  • Page 14 CAUTION When not using the Battery Pack for an extended period, remove it from the main unit, and store it in a cool, dry location. Failure to do so may cause overheating, fire, or electric shock. Insert the AC adapter plug securely into the Dock. Failure to insert the plug securely may cause fire or electric shock.
  • Page 15 Do not remove the Battery Pack while the power is turned on. Doing so may cause injury. Do not clean or inspect the product without first removing the Battery Pack and disconnecting the AC adapter from the power outlet. Doing so may cause injury. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

On certain batteries this symbol might be used in combination with a chemical symbol. The chemical symbols for mercury (Hg) or lead (Pb) are added if the battery contains more than 0.0005% mercury or 0.004% lead.
