USB Connection Explained

The X420 is a widescreen TV with an USB port. With the USB port the TV can access USB flash
drives and display pictures or play MP3 files. To use this feature connect a USB flash drive to the
USB port of the TV and press the SRS / USB button to start browsing for music and pictures.
Browsing
In the USB function, the first two folders are designated PICTURE and MUSIC. Choose PICTURE if
you want to browse the pictures in your USB drive, or choose MUSIC if you want to browse the
music in your USB drive. Use the directional pad, the ENTER, and EXIT buttons to navigate around
the folders.
While browsing pictures you can use the number pad to change picture viewing options
PAUSE – This function will cause the picture slide show to pause.
DURATION – This function changes the duration time of a picture during the slideshow.
EFFECT – This function changes the transition effect from one picture to the next.
INFO – This function shows information on the picture file being viewed.
While playing music you can use the number pad to change music playing options
REPEAT – This function will repeat the current song or the entire album in the folder.
SHUFFLE – This function will randomly choose songs to play in the folder.
INFO – This function shows information on the music file being played.
◄ – This button on the remote control rewinds the music.
► – This button on the remote control fast forwards the music.
Technical Limitation
1.
All USB functions are operated by the remote control. None of the buttons physically
located on the TV will respond to USB functions.
2.
The USB port does not support USB hubs.
3.
The USB flash drive supports FAT32 and FAT16 file system only.
4.
The biggest file size is 4 gigabyte (FAT32).
5.
The picture function only supports JPEG file (baseline & progressive).
6.
The music function only supports MP3 that is from 8-48khz using a data rate of 8-
320 kbps.
