SKILSAW DADO INSERT SPT00A
Read the manual for use of this accessory with the
tool. This dado insert was designed specifically
WARNING
for use with the SKILSAW SPT99 Jobsite Table Saw.
1. Remove plug from power source, and remove the blade guard
assembly.
2. Lower the blade completely below the table surface.
3. Lower the riving knife (SPT99 Table Saw) to it's lowest position and
lock into place. See the SPT99 Table Saw Operating/Safety
Instructions Manual for detailed instructions.
4. Remove existing insert from table saw.
5. Position dado table insert in pocket of table so tabs on insert are in
slots in pocket of table and push down and secure in place.
Adjusting the Table Insert
The table insert should be adjusted so it is flush with the saw table
surface.
The table insert includes four (4) leveling screws to adjust its height
(Fig. 2). Place a straight edge (such as the metal ruler from a combi-
nation square) across the table top and insert top – the surfaces should
be at the same level (Fig. 2). If adjustment is necessary, use a screw-
driver to rotate each set screw up or down.
Never operate the saw without the proper insert in place. Use the saw
insert when sawing and the dado insert when da doing.
Installing Accessory Outer Dado Washer
Prior to installing or cutting with a dado set, see the Dado and Molding
Cutting section of your SPT99 Table Saw Operating/Safety
Instructions Manual for complete installation and user instructions.
The enclosed "outer" accessory dado washer is for use with a dado set
on the Skilsaw SPT99 Table Saw only.
Your accessory "outer" dado washer is designed to secure a maximum
13/16" dado set with the arbor nut in place, as shown in figure 3.
Do not use the accessory "outer" dado washer for standard cuts without
a dado set. See your SPT99 Table Saw Operating/Safety Instructions
Manual for how to return your saw back to normal "through sawing."
