Installation
The removable connectors allow you to terminate speaker wire easily to the speaker selector. Please see gure 1 for typical installation
and typical installation with the addition of volume controls.
1. Turn power to "OFF" on all equipment before proceeding.
2. Strip back 1/4" of insulation from each wire that is to be connected to the connector. Twist the exposed wires tightly so that there
are no stray strands.
3. Connect the wires going into each speaker to the connectors, making sure to maintain proper polarity.
4. Once all wires have been inserted into the connectors, visually inspect each of your connections to ensure that there are no stray
strands that might short and that there is not an excessive amount of exposed wire outside of the connector. Also be sure that the
connector is tightened down on bare wire and not insulation.
5. Install the connectors onto the back of the speaker selector. The connectors are "keyed," so that they can only be inserted the
correct way.
6. Repeat for each speaker pair required.
7. Connect the wires from your ampli er or receiver output to the ampli er output connect on the back of the speaker selector.
8. If you are connecting more than one pair of speakers, the ampli er protection button should be turned on.
9. Turn power "ON" for all associated equipment and test to make sure it is functioning properly.
