On Balance RLD-20 Quick Start Manual

Thank you for purchasing our digital scale RLD-20. With normal care and proper treatment, this scale will provide years of reliable service.

Please Read Before First Use

1. The operating environment must be stable. It should be without air currents, drafts, vibration,
electricity.
2. The operating temperature range is 10℃ to 30℃. Avoid exposure to extreme heat or cold. Always allow your scale to acclimate to normal room
temperature before use.
3. Turn on the scale and give it at least 30 seconds to warm up. Before use, place the calibration weight onto the platform four times to activate the
system. (Readings during this warm up time may not be ideally accurate.)
4. After warm up and before weighing, calibration must be performed. Please make sure you place the calibration weight in the target center on the
platform.
5. You can start weighing after calibration. Again please make sure the center of the object you weigh is placed on the target center on the platform.
6. Every reading should be completed within 15 seconds. Creep may occur after 15 seconds.
7. Please press "TARE" key before every reading, even if you have just calibrated. This helps the system to trace the zero point better.
8. This is a high precision digital powder scale and should always be handled with extreme care.

Operation

1. Place the scale on a leveled surface & press "ON/OFF" key to turn on the scale or power it off.
2. Wait until the LCD display shows zero, then press "MODE" key to choose the weighing unit.
3. Place the item to be weighed on the platform and wait until the reading is stable.

Tare Function

1. Turn on the scale as described above.
2. Place the "tare item" on the platform. Press "TARE" key and wait until the LCD display shows zero.
3. Scale can now be used for weighing. Add the "net-weight-item".

Calibration

1. When the scale is turned off, press the "ON/OFF" key to turn on the scale. Wait until the LCD display shows zero.
2. Press and hold the "MODE" key until the display shows "CAL", then release the button. Press the "MODE" key again, the first required calibration weight
"10g" will flash on the display. Place the required weight on the center of the platform. After a few seconds, the second required calibration weight "20g" will
flash on the display. Place the required weight on the center of the platform.
3. The LCD display reads "PASS" and comes back to the normal weighing mode. Calibration is now complete.

Auto-Off setting

1. The default Auto-Off setting is 60 seconds of inactivity.
2. To change the Auto-Off time setting or disable this function, please follow these steps:
Turn on the scale by pressing "ON/OFF" key and wait until zero is displayed.

Press & hold the "TARE" key for 5 seconds until "60" is displayed. Press "MODE" key to cycle through your choices of "0/60/120/180" seconds.

After choosing, press "ON/OFF" key, the LCD display will show "PASS" and then turn off. Auto-off setting is completed.
If user chooses "0" seconds in previous step, it means the Auto-Off function is disabled. To keep a longer battery life, please turn the scale off by
pressing the "ON/OFF" key after each use.

Warning

1. "Lo": Low voltage. Please replace the batteries.
2. "O-Ld": Overload. Please remove item quickly to protect the scale.
