1.1 About this manual Be sure to read and understand all the safety and operation information in this manual before beginning to operate the Salter Brecknell’s Auto Reload Scale. This operation manual should be kept with the scale at all times for easy reference.
Primer packaging is designed to provide safe storage. DO NOT store primers in bulk. The blast of just a few hundred primers is sufficient to cause serious injury to anyone nearby. DO NOT force primers. Use care in handling primers. APD-100 Automatic Powder Dispenser User Instructions...

Installation Select a location for the APD-100 that is level and stable. We recommend that the APD-100 be located away from vibration and air currents. The APD-100 is sensitive enough to have readings affected by these conditions. Remove the APD-100 from the packaging.
We recommend you allow the scale to fully warm-up before use. If this is not possible, the warm-up mode can be cancelled by pressing the CANCEL key. To turn off the APD-100, press and hold the ON/OFF key until the display shows OFF…...
This section includes instructions for the various steps to calibrate, setup and use the APD-100. 4.1 Calibration Follow these steps to calibrate your APD-100. After warm-up the unit will be in weighing and dispense mode. We recommend you calibrate the scale before use. Remove the powder scoop from the weighing platform before calibrating the scale.
After a charge is finished, APD-100 will display CT=001 and beep (unless beeper is turned off). We recommend that the first several charges be placed back into the reservoir. This allows the APD-100 to fully stabilize and fill the feed tube with powder.

Servicing the APD-100 6.1 Cleaning The APD-100 must be cleaned after use or when changing the type of powder. It is strongly recommended that powder NOT be left in the powder dispenser when finished loading or when putting it away as you may forget what kind of powder was used. This is extremely dangerous.
