Figure 8 – Device Window .......................... 10 1. Introduction The Romantis satellite modem/router can work as an SCPC (Single Channel Per Carrier) modem with the satellite carrier frequency fixed or assigned on demand. It can also be a mini-hub or a remote station in a TDM (Time-Division Multiplexing) or TDMA (Time-Division Multiplexing Access) network in which two or more bit streams are transferred on one channel.
All the interfaces are located on the rear panel of the device. The indicators are located on the front panel. LAN Indicators are integrated into the LAN connector on the back of the modem. 2.1. Hardware The hardware associated with this module is the Romantis Modem and the AvL AAQ Antenna System. 2.2. Software Path Main Window →...
Connect the AAQ antenna controller to the Romantis modem/router via one of the three LAN ports on the rear of the CIP (rack mount Control Interface Panel) or through an Ethernet switch.
Note: Be sure to connect the power to each device. The AAQ Controller should connect to the port labeled AAQ on back CIP. Romantis Modem should connect to one of the LAN ports on back of CIP. The modem/router has a static IP Address, in this example the static IP address of the modem/router is 10.20.20.26.
