    Intended use IV. INTENDED USE The hydraulic log splitter may only be used in a horizontal position. Wood may only be split in a horizontal position along the fibre. The maximum split wood length is 52 cm. 1. The equipment is to be used only for its prescribed purpose. Any other use is deemed to be a case of misuse.

  • Page 14 Safety regulations • Never attempt to split any trunks which contain nails, wire or any other objects. • Clear up while you work; collections of split wood and wood chips can make your work area dangerous. Never continue working if your work area is full to the extent that you could slip, trip or fall over.

    Setup/Before starting the equipment/Operation VI. SETUP Prepare the workplace where the machine is to be placed. Ensure sufficient room to allow safe work without malfunctions. The machine is designed to operate on a level surface and must be placed se- curely on stable plain ground.

The intervals mentioned herein are based on normal conditions of use. An exces- sive use of the machine shortens the intervals accordingly.

    Transport/Electrical connection XIII. TRANSPORT Before moving your machine, make sure the Venting Screw (12) is tightened to avoid oil leaking from this point. TRANSPORT: To remove the machine packaging from the pallet, two persons will be required. The machine may be transported while held in a diagonal position. Use the hand grip and pull gently while the machine stands on its wheels.
