Installing the Nano Bluetooth Dongle

CD-ROM into your desktop or notebook
computer's CD drive.
Insert the nano Bluetooth dongle into
an available USB port on your desktop or
notebook computer.
Follow the on-screen instructions for
software installation.
Operating Tips & Trouble Shooting
Some Windows-OS already support
Bluetooth protocols. You may choose to
install and use the included Bluetooth
software or the Windows Bluetooth
software if it's already installed in your
computer.
After successfully installing the Bluetooth
software and adapter, you may connect
your Bluetooth-enabled computer to any
Bluetooth devices. During the pair-up
process (please consult your Bluetooth
device user's manual for instructions) it
may ask for a passkey. Use "0000" (4 zeros)
if your Bluetooth device does not provide
a passkey. If it fails to accept this passkey
please consult with your Bluetooth device
manufacturer for instructions.
The Bluetooth class 2 dongle supports up
to 7 Bluetooth devices with a maximum
transmission range of up to 33 feet/10
meters. Always use your Bluetooth
devices within this range to avoid loss of
transmission.
The Interlink Nano Bluetooth Class 2 Dongle
is designed to be plug-in and leave-in
with the computer without the need to
be removed when traveling. Nevertheless
precaution should be used when storing
your Bluetooth computer in its carrying
case:
When the computer carrying case is
»
too small/tight, remove the dongle,
keep it in a pocket inside the carrying
case, and plug it in to the USB port
again when the computer is out of
the carrying case. You don't need to
reinstall the Bluetooth software, nor do
you need to reconnect your Bluetooth
devices again as the connection
stays intact even when the dongle is
removed temporarily.
When carrying your Bluetooth
»
computer in a case, try to position the
side with Bluetooth dongle facing
up to avoid exerting pressure to the
dongle.
