    • Following these basic safety instructions will reduce this risk. • Save these pages for future reference. DANGER means if the safety information is not followed someone will be seriously injured or killed. WARNING means if the safety information is not followed someone could be seriously injured or killed. CAUTION means if the safety information is not followed someone may be injured. Before Using the airbed for the First Time, Understand that: • This airbed is intended to be placed indoors on the floor of a home and used as a bed for sleeping. • The air bed should never be used as a personal flotation device, life preserver, raft or water toy. • The airbed uses an electric air pump to inflate and deflate the bed. • Children should not be allowed to operate the air pump. • Children should always be closely supervised when they are using this air bed. WARNING PROTECT YOURSELF • Charge only with the transformer provided with the pump. • Plug into 120V AC electrical outlet for charge with AC adaptor. • Plug 6V Car Plug into car cigarette lighter socket for charge. • DO NOT use the pump in temperatures colder than 41° F or warmer than 104° F. • DO NOT use in wet conditions. • DO NOT over inflate. • For proper pump usage, it is recommended not to exceed 10 minutes of inflation/deflation time. Allow the pump to cool off for 20 minutes. • DO NOT use as a water float or as a life saving device. • To keep the battery at optimum operating condition, always store pump with a full charge. Recharge the pump once a month even if it has not been used. • Never allow sand, small rocks or any objects to be sucked into the pump while operating. • DO NOT try to disassemble, repair or service the pump or separate parts. Once the pump is disassembled, the warranty will be invalid. • Charge the battery for 12 hours before first use. After the initial charge, we recommend you recharge the battery for 12 hours before each use. CLEANING CARE 1. Brush off loose dirt with a dry brush. 1. Never unfold or inflate 2.   • Page 7 DEFLATING YOUR AIRBED To power deflate the bed, insert pump into socket. Align the words “Deflate” on pump with the words “Attach/Detach” on the socket (Figure 6A & 6B). Kelty products are covered under warranty, to the original owner, for the lifetime of the product, against defects in materials or workmanship. Since no Kelty product is indestructible, Kelty’s warranty does not cover defects attributable to or resulting from normal wear and tear (ie: exhausted zippers), natural hazard damage (ie: weather, animals, ultraviolet [UV] damage on tents), abuse or alteration. All products being returned require a Return Authorization number. Service under our warranty is available to the original purchaser by returning the product to any authorized Kelty dealer or by contacting our customer service department at 1-866-349-7225 (1-866-FIX-PACK) for a Return Authorization number. If, after inspection, we determine that the product is defective, we will repair or replace it at our discretion, free of charge. If your Kelty product needs service or repair that is not covered under warranty, we will provide the necessary service at a reasonable charge. This warranty gives you, the original purchaser, specific legal rights.
