Adding text and shapes
Change text color
You can change the type color before or after you enter text. When editing existing text layers, you can change the color
of individual characters or all type in a layer. You can also apply a gradient to text in a text layer.
The Color menu in the options bar displays many preset color swatches from which you can choose.

Do one of the following:
• To change the color of text before you type it, select a type tool.
• To change the color of existing text, select a type tool and then drag to select the text.
Do one of the following:

• To choose a color from the Color Picker, click the colored area of the Color menu in the options bar.
• To choose a color from a list of color swatches, click the triangle on the Color menu in the options bar.

Adding Text to Images
You can add text to an image. There are three new ways of adding text to an image:
• Text on Selection Tool
• Text on Shape Tool
• Text on Custom Path Tool
Note: In all the text on path options you can move the text around the path or inside/outside by holding Ctrl(Win) or
Cmd(Mac) by clicking and dragging the mouse. You can also drag the cursor into or outside the selection area.
Text on Selection
Add text on the outline of a path created from a selection. When you commit a selection, the selection is converted to
a path on which you can type text.
In the Text Tools category in Tools panel, right-click and select the Text on Selection Tool.
