Connecting an Audio-Video Device

You can connect an audio-video (AV) device, such as a TV or a VCR, to the optional port replicator or the notebook.
Note:
Prior to attaching a video device, unplug the connecting cable from the Monitor jack.
To connect an AV device to the optional port replicator, use the S-video jack and the Headphone jack, which require a
S-video cable and an audio cable. To connect an AV device to the notebook, use the AV out jack, which requires an
audio-video cable. Remember to switch the TV input channel to external input and set up the TV configuration system. See

Connecting a TV to the Port Replicator S-video Jack
If you connect an AV device to the S-video jack, you must use the Audio (L) and the Audio (R). Also, the S-video jack and the
AV out jack are not designed to be used simultaneously. If you connect cables to both jacks, only the S-video jack will
function.
