Keep the original packing materials in case the electric load has to be returned to ODA Technologies in the future. If you return the electric load for service, attach a tag identifying the owner and model number.

    3-1. IN ON/OFF Connect and disconnect the input current to the load. So, you can disconnect the input current without eliminating source. Following is about using In ON/OFF function.     3-5. IO/Local To configure the power supply for the RS-232, RS485, USB and TCP/IP interface. RS232C, RS485 and USB interface is standard, in case of TCP/IP, it is optional. When the load is shipped, I/O interface is set the RS232C protocol and baud rate is 9600bps. Communication setting is only able to be set by front panel key.

    RS485 Connection Drawing ▌RS 485 connector consists of 4 pin one-touch terminal and below figure 3-5 is rear side view.     3-7. Save You can save current load status in "User Memory". There are 10 user memory and Mode status, Range, Voltage, Current, Slew Level, A-Memory, B-Memory, DUTY, Cycling Time value will be saved. Below is the process of saving data in user memory. Save Key also provide Software Calibration function.

    3-8. Recall Recall function is recalling the data in 『non-volatile memory』. There are 01~10 location in non-volatile memory and you can recall mode state, Range, Voltage, Current, Slew Level, A-Memory, B-Memory, DUTY, FREQ setting value. ▌Power Switch ON Turn on load and check load is in OFF MODE.     3-9. ESC ESC is for menu cancellation , protection cancellation, Error check. Menu Cancellation - In case of cancellation of menu Section, press esc key and get back to previous state. Error Check - When error occurs, there will be beep sound and error led lamp will be on. Press ESC/ERR key to check error number.

    3-10. DYNAMIC ON/OFF Dynamic mode allows voltage and current to change in high-speed. Users are able to set Cycle time, cycle duty to make pulse that user wants. ▌Power Switch ON Turn on load and check load is in OFF MODE. DYN /A ▌To proceed dynamic mode, press DYN/A one time shortly.
  • Page 36 3-11. SLEW Slew Rate function allows to control rising and falling speed of voltage and current. In CV Mode, you can control rising and falling speed of voltage. B-Memory In dynamic mode, B-Memory will save and recall the data of Load to B-Memory. ▌Power Switch ON Turn on load and check load is in OFF MODE. ▌To set the B-Memory, press SLEW/B key. ▌Use encoder to set the value of B-Memory value. ▌To save the B-Memory, press SLEW/B key one more time.

    3-14. Dynamic Cycling Time / Duty Dynamic Cycling Time - Set the cycling time of Dynamic Mode ▌Power Switch ON Turn on load and check load is in OFF MODE. CYC TIME ▌To set the Dynamic Cycling Time, press CYC TIME/DUTY key. /DUTY ▌Use encoder to set the value of Dynamic Cycling Time.

    3-22. Error Message Display When error occurs, error will be saved up to 10 to volatile memory. Please refer to "7. Error Messages" about error information. ▌ERROR memory is Stack structure type. First error will be lastly accessed. ▌11th and after error message will be discarded. ▌Press ERROR Key and check error message backwards.

    3-23 Protection LP Series have protection mode (OVP, OPP, OTP) Below is the explanation about each protection. OVP is " Over Voltage Protection". If load output more voltage than capacity, Protection will be on. "OVER Voltage" will be displayed. To remove OVP, set power supply's setting appropriate to load's spec and press ESC.

    3-24. Remote Voltage Sensing When using load, there will be voltage regulation in lead line. To use more correct voltage, there's a Remote Voltage Sensing function. Remote Voltage Sensing Connection Set rear panel switch to "Remote", and connect Sensing terminal to power supply terminal. And +S sensing terminal should be connected to + terminal (power supply).

    4. CALIBRATION Warning Calibration process is recommend to someone who is specialized in calibration only. Calibration period > For Test : 180 days > For normal use : 365 days (Recommended) Because of worn out device and temperature, humidity, device can have function error. Calibration is for setting function to standard.

    Power Supply ▌Power supply can be used for source for Calibration. ▌When you do Current calibration operation, Power supply's + terminal should be connected to load's + terminal. And load's - terminal should be connected to current monitoring shunt's one lead line. Other side lead line should be connected to power supply's - terminal.

Connect Current monitoring resistance's other side of lead line to power supply's (-) output terminal.

    4-6. REMOTE INTERFACE Calibration You can do Calibration by using Remote Interface. During Remote Calibration process, load can not proceed other command. Measurement device Connection ▌Before calibration, connect measurement device like <Figure 4-2>. ▌Set communication setting in each devices. ▌warming-up is required for all measuring device before calibration. Remote Calibration Command process ▌Refer to SCPI Commands in "6-6.
  • Page 69 ▌Send HIGH Range의 Minimum Calibration. Command "CAL:CURR:H:L" ▌Power supply's setting value should be bigger than load's maximum value. ▌After several minutes, measure DVM voltage which is connected to current monitoring resistance. ▌Send measured current value to the power supply's value. For example, if measured current value is 5.55471, send command as below.

    Voltage CALIBRATION ▌Send power on command to power supply, and set power supply to suitable current and vol ▌Send Load's voltage Minimum Calibration Command. Command "CAL:VOLT:L" ▌Set power supply's setting value as more bigger than load's maximum value. Be sure to set power supply to more larger range than load's calibration range. ▌Measure DVM voltage after several minutes.

    5. FACTORY By factory mode, you can set calibration back up and restoration. 5-1. Trait ▌10 memories in 『non-volatile memory』can be initialized. ▌ If you don't want to use product for a while, you can lock the front panel. ▌You can restore factory setting value by restoration function. 5-2.
