    The MC3-TM will be connected to a TCP/IP network and can be set to use a static IP address or to use a DHCP server to obtain one.

    Start the program and select an interface. Press scan to search for available MC3 controllers. All found devices will be listed. Both MAC-address and IP address will be shown. The MAC-address of the MC3-TM is printed on a sticker which is placed on the mainboard. Using this MAC-address, the device can be selected in the list.

    Documentnr.: 131083 version 2.1 6. Service interface The MC3-TM is not equipped with an display in order to change settings or read measured values. Settings for manipulating the control process can be accessed by Modbus as well as the measured values.

    By selecting the button “Submit” at the bottom the selected configuration will be saved on the MC3-TM and it is ready for use. It will be used when the MC3-TM is rebooted or when the control application is restarted. (see 6.6 Restart application).

    The “Backup configuration” screen gives the possibility to make a backup of the current settings and software. This backup can be used to restore all settings to another MC3-TM in case of a hardware failure. When backups are made, they will be show in this screen and they can be downloaded to a PC.

    6.7. Modbus access By default no system has Modbus access to the MC3-TM. In order to give a system access to the Modbus registers and values, its access needs to be granted. On the “Modbus access” screen this access can be granted.

    “Date/Time settings” offers the possibility to change the internal date and time settings of the MC3-TM. The options at the top of the screen show the settings for manually setting the date and time.
