    Terms used in this manual Patch memory Patch memories store effects and amps used, effect on/off states and parameter setting values, allowing easy recall. Effects are saved and recalled in units of patch memories. Up to 9 effects can be added to a patch memory, and up to 240 patch memories can be stored.

    Selecting the input (INPUT SELECT) Two basses, for example, an electric bass guitar and an acoustic bass, can be connected to the B6 and switched for use one at a time. Connect basses to the INPUT 1 and INPUT 2 jacks, and set the impedance selection switches to suit the connected basses.

    Selecting the input (DI TYPE) The DI section of the B6 has four selectable types that reproduce the characteristics of vacuum tube and solid-state DIs. The DI section affects the output of both the BALANCED OUTPUT and AMP/LINE [PHONES] jacks.

    This bypasses the effects and DI sections. Unlit This bypasses nothing. HINT • Adjusting the EQ and volume of a bass amp, for example, is easier if the B6 effects are bypassed. • The bypass function will be off when the power is turned on.

    Adjusting the master level The volume output from the B6 can be adjusted. NOTE • The setting range is - ∞ – + 6 dB. • The setting is 0 dB when the knob is centered.

    Adjusting output EQ and volume The volume and EQ of sound output from the B6 can be adjusted for each channel. These settings affect the AMP/LINE [PHONES] jack output. The VOL setting also affects the BALANCED OUTPUT jack output. Press to select a channel for output EQ and volume adjustment.

    Using the PRESELECT function The PRESELECT function can be used in BANK/PATCH mode. When the PRESELECT function is ON, switching banks and patch memories will not occur until pressed to confirm the patch memory change.     Managing patch memories Saving patch memories The AUTOSAVE function is on by default. When it is off, changes, including adjustments to effects and amps, as well as volume settings, will not be saved automatically. Save changes manually in this case. Patch memories can also be saved to other locations.

    Creating patch memories New patch memories can be created. Touch on the Menu Screen. This opens a screen for creating patch memories. ❶ Select effects ❷ Select a preamp The CREATE PATCH MEMORY Screen starts with two effect categories and a preamp ready for selection.

    Using a connected expression pedal An expression pedal (ZOOM FP02M) can be connected and used to adjust effects in the PEDAL category. The expression pedal can be used to change the application of the effect. Select a patch memory to be set up for an external pedal. Touch on the Menu Screen.

    Using the tuner Activating the tuner Enable the tuner to use the B6 to tune a bass. Press and hold , or touch on the Menu Screen. This activates the tuner and opens the USE TUNER Screen. Play the open string that you want to tune and adjust its pitch.
