    Your Airocide® Air Purification System utilizes patented NASA developed technology. The heart of this system is the reaction chamber. Never attempt to operate your Airocide® system without the outer cover in place. Do not attempt to operate the Airocide® System with the reaction chamber cover removed.

    Air Purification System Features Operating Parameters Airocide® Air Purification Systems are designed for continual operation, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For maximum effectiveness, once you start your system, do not turn it off. Ambient Environmental Temperature Airocide® Systems are engineered to function within an ambient air temperature range of 34°F to 95°F (1°C - 35°C).

    Overheat (Red) – This LED indicates an overheating issue with the unit. • Off – When this LED is off, the Airocide® System is operating within the normal temperature range. • Flashing – If the Airocide® System has exceeded the normal operating temperature range for an extended period of time, this LED will flash and the unit will shut down.

    Air Outlet Port Air that has been processed by the Airocide® System will exit the unit through the air outlet port, located on the left side of the unit, adjacent to the User Interface Panel. When choosing where to place your unit, make certain that there is at least 3 feet (1 meter) of unobstructed space around the Air Outlet Port.

    Air Inlet System The Airocide® System processes contaminated air by drawing it into the air inlet system, consisting of the Air Inlet Port and Large Particulate Collection Screen.
  • Page 18 Air Inlet Port The Air Inlet Port for the Airocide® System contains a large particulate collector to prevent large inorganic particulate from entering the fan and the reaction chamber. To open the air inlet door, turn the two access knobs and fold the door down.

    Outer Cover Airocide® Systems are protected by a primary outer cover. This cover should only be removed when it is necessary to change the Airocide® System’s lamps. Refer to the Maintenance and Care section for details on changing the lamps.

    When the outer cover is removed, the Reaction Chamber Access Door may be opened. This access panel allows for quick and easy replacement of the Airocide® System’s lamps. For safety purposes, there are screws that secure the chamber panel. These must be removed in order to open the reaction chamber access door.

    Power Management Technology In order to protect the electronic systems within your Airocide® unit, advanced power management software is utilized. This software is constantly monitoring the incoming voltage to your Airocide® System. In the event the voltage falls below or exceeds the normal operating range, the software will shut off the critical systems.

Lift the Airocide® system up at an angle, from the bottom of the chassis until the unit is clear of the bottom brackets. Then, lift the unit off of the upper bracket hooks and place the unit next to the mounting bracket.

  • Page 29 Attaching Airocide® System to Mounting Bracket Once the mounting bracket is securely fastened to the wall or ceiling, the Airocide® System is ready to be attached. Make certain the power cord is unplugged during this procedure. Perform the following steps to attach the unit to the mounting bracket: 1.

    Initial Start Up of the Airocide® System To start up the system, from the User Interface Panel, turn the On/Off switch to the “On” position. The Airocide® System will start, with all 4 LED lights illuminating for approximately 2 seconds, then only the green power light and blue system light should remain on.

  • Page 33 Once you have these items, perform the following steps to replace the lamps: 1. Turn the On/Off switch to Off position. 2. Unplug the power cord to the Airocide Unit. 3. Using a Phillips (cross-head) screwdriver, carefully remove the screws securing the outer cover to the unit chassis.
