NLOADING  
ALLET  
1)       T o  remove  pallet   s tack,   t he  yellow   v ertical  Pallet   C ontainment   M echanism   ( PCM)   l ocated  on  
each   side   of   the   upper   pallet   magazine   opening   must   first   be   retracted   into   the   side   wall  
pockets   a nd   l ocked   o ut   o f   t he   w ay.  
2)       M anually   p ush   t he   y ellow   P CM   o n   o ne   s ide   i nto   i ts  retracted   p osition   i nside   t he   s idewall.   W hile  
holding   t he   P CM   i n   t his   r etracted   p osition   w ith   o ne   h and,   p ull   t he   b lack   P CM   L OCK   O UT   l anyard  
outward   w ith   t he   o ther   h and.   L ock   t he   P CM   l anyard   o nto   t he   s mall   b lack   p ost   t hat   w ill   h old   t he  
PCM   in   its   retracted  position.     Be   sure   to   verify  that   the   PCM's   leading   edge   is   inset   from   the  
surface     o f     t he     m agazine.     T his     e nables     t he     p allet     s tack   to     b e     r emoved     f rom   the     m agazine  
without  catching  on  the  PCM.     Repeat  process  on  other  side  of  the  machine.     WARNING:     This  
process   will   disable   the   pallet   magazine   safety   feature   and   may   result   in   a   less   stable   pallet  
stack.     C aution   s hould   b e   e xercised   w hen   a ttempting   t o   u nload   t he   m achine.  
3)       O nce   t he   p allet   m agazine   i s   c leared,   o perator   m ust   e nable   t he   P CM   a gain   b y   p ressing   i nward   o n  
the  PCM  while  releasing  the  Lock  Out  lanyard  from  the  small  black  post.  Test  the  spring  loaded  
PCM   t o   v erify   t hat   i t   i s   f unctioning   p roperly   a gain.  
 
D)   R
EMOVAL   O F   A  
1)       In  the  event  that  a  defective  pallet  causes  the  Dstacker  to  malfunction,  the  operator  will  need  
to   r emove   t he   p allet   s tack   t o   r etrieve   t he   p roblem   p allet.  
2)       U sing   a   f orklift,   r emove   t he   e ntire   p allet   s tack     E XCEPT  for   t he   b ottom   t wo   p allets,   w hich   s hould  
be   l eft   i n   t he   m achine.     Be   s ure   t o   r aise   t he   p allet   s tack   s traight   u p   a bove   t he   b lack   b ase   b efore  
backing   a way.  
3)       I f  the  latches  are  still  caught  in  the  bottom-­‐most  pallet,  lift  the  second  pallet  up  and  out  of  the  
machine,   ensuring   to   clear   the   top   of   the   black   base   before   removing   it   from   the   machine  
magazine.     Next   lift   the   bottom   pallet   straight   up   slowly   making   sure   the   latches   flip   upward  
releasing   t he   p allet.     C lean   a rea   a nd   r epeat   t he   l oading   p rocess   a bove.  
4)      If   at   this   point   it   appears   that   the   one   remaining   pallet   was   simply   jammed,   (e.g.   the   lifting  
latches   w ere   c aught   o n   o ne   o f   t he   p allets'   c ross   m embers)   t ry   r aising   t he   p allet   s lightly   u ntil   t he  
lifting  latches  fall  into  the   opening  between  the  top  and  bottom  pallet  boards.   Verify  that  the  
latch   m echanisms   a re   a t   t he   s ame   h eight.
