®
The Paint + Primer formula ensures superior coverage and adhesion on a variety of interior/exterior
surfaces, including wood, metal, plastic, wicker, and more. The Inspire advanced coating system
sprays at any angle, even upside down for those hard-to-reach areas. The ergonomically-shaped
comfort spray tip has a wider finger pad to reduce finger fatigue caused by continuous spray. TIP:
Some plastics made of polyethylene such as Little Tikes * children' s products are manufactured in

a way that may hinder maximum paint adhesion. Test paint in a hidden area first.
READ ALL DIRECTIONS BEFORE BEGINNING PROJECT.
Painting Conditions:
Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area such as an open garage. Use
when temperature is between 50°F (10°C) and 90°F (32°C) and humidity is below 65% to
ensure proper drying. Do not apply to surfaces that, when heated, exceed 200°F (93°C) or
galvanized metal. Avoid spraying in very windy, dusty conditions. Cover surrounding area
to protect from spray mist.
Preparation:
Remove loose paint and rust with wire brush or sandpaper. Lightly sand

Priming:
Use of Inspire Primer provides superior adhesion and hiding and is especially
recommended for bare wood and metal.
Painting:
Shake can vigorously for one minute after mixing ball begins to rattle. If mixing
ball fails to rattle, DO NOT STRIKE CAN. Contact Rust-Oleum. Shake often during use. Hold
can upright 10-16" from surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly
overlapping each stroke. Keep the can the same distance from the surface. Keep the can

in motion while spraying. Apply 2 or more light coats a few minutes apart.
Times
based on 70°F – 50% relative humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures.
Dries to the touch in 20 minutes, to handle in 1 hour and fully dry in 24 hours. Apply a second
coat or Clear coat within 1 hour or after 48 hours. Apply clear in 2-3 light coats a few minutes
apart. NOTE: On plastic maximum paint adhesion and durability is achieved in 5-7 days.
Clean-up:
Wipe off tip before storing. Clean up wet paint with Xylol or mineral spirits. Throw
away empty can in trash pickup. Do not burn or place in home trash compactor.
Clogging:
If valve clogs, twist and pull off spray tip and rinse it in a solvent such as mineral
spirits. Do not stick pin or other object into the stem.
