Good evening I have Purikor PKVSF26D this particular model has the manuel hardness knob. The softner was installed 68 days and has hardly used any salt buttons. I have checked for salt bridging but there is none again its a brand new softner. The initial start up 1- 44lb. bag of salt buttons was used. I have checked the injector and it is clear and the brine tank has water in the base. I have observed the regen process and everything looks good. My issue is the water softner only softnes water to 350 ppm or 20 grain. The hardness coming into the sftner is filtered but has a hardness level of 800 ppm. Even after turning the hardness knob to its highest clockwise position this is the best reading I can get. The sftner was installed by a 30 year experienced plumber and he can't understand why it won't soften to 150 or 3 grain. Do have any idea what I can do? Thank you

A possible reason for the PURIKOR PKVSF26D water softener only reducing hardness to 350 ppm, despite proper installation and settings, could be an internal leak. This may require replacing seals, spacers, and the piston assembly.

I’m a little confused as to how the bypass works?? Should it be set straight up and down or in hardness adjustment position according to the manuel? Our water isn’t getting softer… HELP !!!

The bypass on the PURIKOR PKVSF26D allows water to flow around the softener system without going through the softening process. It should be set straight up and down when the system is in normal operation mode. The hardness adjustment position is used only if adjusting water hardness is necessary and is optional for the softener valve.

The flashing lights stop automatically when the valve reaches the corresponding cycle position. No manual adjustment of the flashing lights is mentioned or required.

The manual includes a section on "Bypass Assembly," but it does not provide specific instructions on how to bypass the PURIKOR PKVSF26D water softener. However, it does mention that a bypass valve should be provided if the unit is not equipped with one. Generally, to bypass a water softener, you need to turn the bypass valve to the bypass position, which allows water to flow directly through the plumbing system without passing through the softener.
