Juicer Safety

WARNING –
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:
1. All supervisors and staff must read the
operation manual and be trained on
the proper requirements for safe use
and servicing. Keep operation manual
accessible for reference. Keep operation
manual handy.
2. The appliance is not intended for use
by persons with reduced physical,
sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
3. This appliance is not intended for use
by or near children. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
4. To protect against electrical shock, do
not immerse cord, plug, or juicer base in
water or any other liquid.
5. To reduce risk of personal injury, always
unplug cord from outlet when not in
use, before putting on or taking off
parts, and before cleaning or conducting
maintenance.
6. Be sure to turn power switch to OFF ( )
position after each use of your juicer.
Make sure the motor stops completely
before disassembling.
7. If food becomes lodged in the bowl
spout turn the power switch OFF ( ),
unplug the cord from the outlet, and
disassemble juicer to remove the
remaining food.
8. Do not use appliance for other than
intended use.
9. Do not operate any appliance with a
damaged supply cord or plug, or after
the appliance malfunctions or has been
dropped or damaged in any manner.
Supply cord replacement and repairs
must be conducted by the manufacturer,
its service agent, or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard. Call
the provided customer service number
for information on examination, repair, or
adjustment.

10. The use of accessory attachments
not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may cause injuries.
11. Do not use outdoors.
12. Do not let cord hang over edge of
table or counter, or touch hot surfaces,
including the stove.
13. Do not leave juicer unattended while it is
operating.
14. Keep hair, clothing, and jewelry, as well
as spatulas and other utensils, away from
reamers during operation to prevent the
possibility of severe injury to persons
and/or damage to the appliance.
15. Do not use the appliance if the reamers
are damaged or have visible cracks.
16. Always use the juicer on a dry, level
surface.
17. Any maintenance other than cleaning
should be performed by an authorised
service center.
18. Avoid contacting moving parts.
19. Inspect reamer daily. Check for cracks,
nicks, or broken ribs.
20. Do not place in or near water or liquids.
21. To reduce risk of personal injury and to
prevent damage to the juicer, DO NOT
insert utensils into the reamer or bowl
while operating the juicer.
22. The use of accessory attachments not
recommended by Hamilton Beach may
cause injuries.
23. To prevent damage, DO NOT move or
shake the juicer while in operation. If
juicer action stops during operation, turn
juicer OFF ( ) and reset unit.
24. Do not spray the base with a high-
pressure spray gun.
25. Disconnect power before cleaning or
servicing.
26. To reduce the risk of personal injury and/
or damage to the appliance, do not use
damaged reamers, strainer, or bowl.
27. Do not operate without the strainer in
place.
28. Do not place on or near a hot gas or
electric burner or in a heated oven.
