Interface cable for SPU for Mobile
KENWOOD Series 30 / 90.

Introduction

Thank you for selecting the SHK90 Cable Interface. The information contained in this manual will
help you in the installation of the product in addition to finding all the electrical characteristics,
included parts and recommendations for use.

Recommendations

Kenwood 30/90 Series Mobile Radio Interconnect Cable requires SPU / SPUPLUS / SPUSB2.
Important: Place both connectors of the interface so that they assemble correctly in the output port
of the radio and SPU respectively, to avoid damage to the interface or to the radio equipment.

Installation/ Operation Mode

•Install the radio software that requires programming.
•It ensures that the equipment is not turned on or energized.
•Connect both connectors of the controller, paying special attention to the KPG43
connector, guide and insert the guide tip into the connector of the radio, once this step
is achieved, secure the fastening screw so as to avoid any false contact.
•Once the interface is connected, power up your radio, connect the programmer to
the PC and start reading your radio equipment.
•On the software program the desired frequencies and on write.
•Turn off the radio and disconnect the cable, at this time your desired programming
will be ready for operation.
•Verify that the system works correctly, if not repeat the previous steps.
