5.1
Air Supply
recommended hook-up procedure is shown in fig.2.
5.1.1 ensure Air saw trigger is in the "off" position (fig.1) before connecting to the air supply.
5.1.2 You will require an air pressure of 90psi, and an air flow according to specification.
 WARNING! ensure the air supply is clean and does not exceed 90psi while operating the tool. too high an air pressure and unclean
air will shorten the product life due to excessive wear, and may be dangerous causing damage and/or personal injury.
5.1.3 drain the air tank daily. Water in the air line will damage the tool.
5.1.4 clean the air inlet filter weekly.
5.1.5 line pressure should be increased to compensate for unusually long air hoses (over 8 metres). the minimum hose diameter should be
1/4" I.d. and fittings must have the same inside dimensions.
5.1.6 Keep the hose away from heat, oil and sharp edges. check the hose for wear, and make certain that all connections are secure.
WARNING! Ensure that you read, understand and apply the safety instructions in Section 1.
WARNING! disconnect from the air supply before changing the blades or files.
5.2
using the saw
5.2.1 loosen the blade socket set screws, slide the saw blade into the jaws full depth and tighten the socket set screws with item 5.
5.2.2 ensure that the workpiece is properly secured and, if necessary, marked out.
5.2.3 Adjust the depth of cut by sliding the saw blade guide to the required position and secure by tightening the blade guide domed screw.
5.2.4 start the saw by pushing the safety catch forward, then pushing the trigger down and bring the moving blade onto the workpiece.
dO NOT attempt to start the saw with the stationary blade in contact with the workpiece.
5.2.5 If the cut starts within the bounds of the material, cut a starter slot by hacksaw.
5.2.6 If the cut ends within the material, allow the blade to come to a stop before removing the saw from the workpiece.
5.2.7 dO NOT allow the air tool to run free, for any length of time, as this will shorten the life of wearing parts.
5.3
using the file
5.3.1 select a file appropriate for the job (flat, triangular, round or semi round), loosen the jaws, slide the file into the jaws full depth and
tighten the socket set screws with item 5.
5.3.2 ensure that the workpiece is properly secured and, if necessary, marked out.
5.3.3 start the saw by pushing the safety catch forward, then pushing the trigger down and bring the file to the the work surface evenly and
slowly. dO NOT attempt to start the air tool with the stationary file in contact with the workpiece.
5.3.4 move the file back and forth in overlapping areas.
5.3.5 remove the file from the work surface before stopping the air tool.
5.3.6 dO NOT allow the air tool to run free, as this will shorten the life of wearing parts.
5.3.7 regularly check the file attachments for wear, always change them if cracked or damaged.
6. MAINTENANCE
WARNING! disconnect saw from the air supply before changing the blade or file, servicing or performing maintenance. replace damaged
parts. Use genuine parts only. Unauthorised parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
6.1
unless the air supply system includes an oiler, lubricate the air saw daily with a few drops of air tool oil, dripped into the air inlet
before use [sealey part no's. Ato500s (500ml) or Ato1000s (1 litre)].
6.2
loss of power or erratic action may be due to the following:
a) excessive drain on the air line. moisture or restriction in the air line. Incorrect size or type of hose connectors. to remedy, check
the air supply and follow instructions in section 5.
b) Grit or gum deposits in the saw may also reduce performance. If your model has an air strainer (located in the area of the air inlet),
remove the strainer and clean it. Flush the air ways out with gum solvent oil or an equal mixture of sAe no 10 oil and kerosene. Allow
to dry before use. If you continue to experience problems, contact your local sealey service agent.
6.3
For a full service, contact your local sealey service agent.
6.4
When not in use, disconnect from the air supply, clean the tools and jaws with a brush or dry cloth. Wipe clean the composite body and
sheath with a moist cloth and mild detergent. store all in a safe, dry, childproof location.
