Voice dialing
(Menu 8-8-1)
The voice dialling feature allows you to make phone
calls by saying the name of an entry in Phonebook.

The phone uses an independent voice recognition
system. This system is able to recognise the speech of
any speaker.
Use this menu to change the settings for voice dialling
so that your phone recognises commands better.
Configuring voice dial settings
In the Configure menu, you can customise various
settings for using the voice dialling feature.
Set active: set how you want to initiate voice
dialling.
Auto: the phone automatically switches to voice
dialling mode when you open the phone.
Manual: you need to press and hold [ ] to dial a
number by your voice command.
Select sex: programme a gender for the user to
make recognition easier.

Result display: set how many entries the phone
displays as a result of the recognition after
searching for the best match for your voice
command.
Earmic setup: set the phone to activate Voice
dialling mode when you press the button on the
headset.
When using the headset, the voice dialling feature
may not work properly in noisy environments.
Message vol: adjust the volume of the voice
prompts that guide you through the procedure for
voice dialling.
Storage: select the default memory for voice
dialling. When you initiate the mode, the phone
recognises only the entries in the selected
memory.
Dialect: You can set the phone to recognize
Mandarin or Cantonese.
