Handset settings
Using the battery save mode does
mean that when the handset is
off the base the display appears to
switch off, however by pressing
any button you will immediately
re-activate the display.

Battery save mode

The factory setting is OFF but if you require a longer
standby time from the battery than 30 hours switch this
to ON and the standby time is increased to 120 hours.
Talk time is not changed.
