important safety notes . Use only stable flat-based pans. They should be placed on the hob with handles turned inwards away from the edge of the work top so that they are not accidentally knocked or pulled over. . Do not use flammable liquids (alcohol, petrol) near the hob when it is in use. .
MCE61TC Touch screen control panel Your hob has four elements below a ceramic glass surface. Each element is operated by using the touch controls. When using touch controls, it is best to use the ball of your finger rather than the tip. The hob is designed for operating at 9 different levels.
MCE61TC Hob with touch controls Using the elements Switch the hob on by touching Touch the button corresponding to the element you wish to cook on. A red dot will appear beside the button that is selected. (If no element is selected within 10 seconds the hob will automatically turn off).

MCE61TC Turning an element off Select the element you want to turn off by pressing the corresponding touch control button. Using the button, turn the temperature down to 0. (Also using the buttons simultaneosly turns the temperature to 0).
hints and tips Cookware . Use heavy gauge, flat, smooth bottomed pans that are the same diameter as the element. This will provide good contact with the glass and help reduce cooking times. . Cookware with a stainless steel sandwich base or enameled cast iron base will give you the best results.

hints and tips Cleaning tips . Do not use abrasive pads, corrosive cleaners, aerosol cleaners or sharp objects to clean the surfaces of the hob. . To remove burnt food, soak it off with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid. .
installation guide WARNING: The electrical connection of this hob should be carried out by a qualified electrician, according to the instructions in this guide and in compliance with the current regulations. In the event of any damage that occurs as a result of improper connection or installation, the warranty will not be valid.

installation guide Fitting the hob into a work surface The hob can be fitted into any work surface provided it is heat resistant up to at least 90ºC. Create an opening with the dimensions shown in the picture below. The distance between the rear edge of the hob and any adjacent wall depends on wall surface.

installation guide Secure the hob in place by putting it into cutout on the work surface. If the hob is being fitted over a cupboard or drawer unit which has no top panel, a top panel must be fitted. This panel will form a separation between the contents of the cupboard or drawer and the underside of the hob.
