2. Operation

Using the UP and DOWN buttons you can increase or decrease values in the LED menu. Once
the desired value has be achieved it is important to press ENTER in order to save the value.
On Power up if no DMX data is present or the DMX cable is not plugged in then the display will
Flash to indicate lack of data. Once data is being received the display will cease flashing.
After a short delay the display will auto turn off to avoid distraction in the theatre environment. To
Turn the display back on simply press any of the display buttons.
The unit can be mounted in any direction and the display can be inverted for ease of use.
Focusing the unit is done by loosening the focus 2 Knobs either side of the lens tube. It is possible to
give a slight twist to the lens tube to focus a gobo which has become distorted through use. Once in focus,
lock off the focus knobs.
Make sure in use that the unit is not covered up by curtains scenery or such like which would restrict the
Airflow through the unit - powerful LED light engines such as this one do get hot and require a constant
Flow of air to radiate the heat away from the unit.
Gobos can be used in this unit with the VK200GB holder that accepts industry standard B size gobos.
These are placed in the holder and can be rotated and locked in position with the simple screw fixing
supplied. This unit is particularly suited to gobo projection with it's crisp glass optics.
The unit can be used without a controller and can be daisy chained for use in a master / slave scenario.
The master unit is set to the brightness/strobe levels required by all the salves and will automatically
Sync with them if no DMX is present. For this to happen all addresses on the head must be set to DMX of 1
The Red LED Display will turn off after no button has been pressed for 30 seconds - to turn back on just
press any button. The display can also be inverted - see menu options overleaf.
The cooling Fan in the unit will automatically start to spin when the unit reaches 40 degree centigrade
and will increase as the heat rises further.
