    The electric motor has been designed for 230V and 240V only. Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate. Note: The supply of 230V and 240V on Ozito tools are interchangeable for Australia and New Zealand.

    GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference. The term “power tool" in all of the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.

    DETAIL SANDER SAFETY WARNINGS • Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, because the sanding pad may contact its own cord. Cutting a "live" wire may make exposed metal parts of the power tool "live" and could give the operator an electric shock. Recommendation that the tool always be supplied via a residual current device with a rated residual current of 30 mA or less.

    PREPARATION & SETUP WARNING! Failure to unplug your detail sander could result in accidental starting causing possible serious injury. Sanding Sheet Installation Your detail sander is equipped with a hook and loop backing pad (4). This uses hook and loop technology, which firmly grips the sanding sheets when applied with moderate pressure.
  • Page 9 PREPARATION & SETUP (cont.) Sandpaper Selection Selecting the correct grit of sandpaper is an important step in achieving optimum results. Coarse grit will remove the most material. Finer grit will produce a smoother finish. The condition of the workpiece will determine the grit of the sandpaper to be used.
  • Page 10 PREPARATION & SETUP (cont.) Precautions to Take When Sanding Paint CAUTION: A dust mask should be worn at all times. Any finish, such as paint or resin, may soften from frictional heat. This will cause the material to rapidly clog the sandpaper, rendering it useless. A heat gun will remove paint more effectively before sanding.

    OPERATION CAUTION: Before attempting to use your sander, be sure to familiarise yourself with all its operating features and safety requirements. WARNING! The sander should always be disconnected from the power supply when assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning or when the tool is not in use.
