1. Introduction This manual is the ultimate reference for users of the AutoTracer NAS product line. The manual has been designed keeping the user in mind. Users seek information based on tasks that they need to perform or problems that they need to resolve. The layout of this manual helps users locate the information they need quickly.
Replace the input bin on the top right side of the appliance. The appliance takes about two (2) minutes to boot up. To verify its operation, connect to the AutoTracer NAS GUI via any computer attached to the same network (internet or intranet) using a modern web browser.

In the “Server” field enter the current IP of the appliance. The “216.17.32.188” TCP/IP address used in this example is the default value for the appliance. The proper address for the AutoTracer NAS appliance must be specified. Select a “Size” for the window that will be created when opening a session via tsweb. Keep in mind that the new window will be enclosed within the browser unless the “Full-screen”...

CONDRE AutoTracer NAS User’s and Installation Manual Please keep in mind that the actual screen may look somewhat different depending on the version of the operating system used in the appliance. From the “Start” menu select “Start\Shutdown”. The “Shutdown” dialog box appears.
Click on the “Yes” button. The appliance will continue to shutdown. Wait for about one (1) minute. Unplug power to the label printer of the AutoTracer NAS appliance. Unplug power to the stacker of the AutoTracer NAS appliance. The appliance has been shutdown and powered off. In order to power up the appliance, please follow the steps described in a different section in this manual.

We now need to get to the window used to configure the Local Area Network (LAN). The following steps illustrate how to get to such window.

The “Local Area Connection Properties” window appears. The following figure illustrates the “Local Area Connection Properties” window.
Please follow the procedure using Microsoft administrative tools to create an account to backup from different machines. 4. Operations This section of the manual describes step by step how to perform basic operations on the AutoTracer NAS appliance. 4.1 Manual Backup / Export A manual backup is defined as the operation of taking the contents of one (1) or more folder(s) and copying them into one (1) or more CD / DVD volumes.
4.3 Automatic Backup This is one of the main features of AutoTracer NAS. By setting up a schedule, one (1) or more folders on one (1) or more computers may be backed up by AutoTracer NAS.

Figure 16 New Logo Added 5.2 Export The export operation is used to take one (1) or more files and export them to one (1) or more DC/DVD volumes. If this is the desired operation, the steps described in this section will show you how to perform an export procedure.

CONDRE AutoTracer NAS User’s and Installation Manual The first step of an export operation is to define a root path for the export operation. The contents of this folder and any folders under are candidates to be written to a CD/DVD volume.

The standard (default) priority is five (5). Count This field is used to indicate the number of copies that should be produced for each volume.
