Gain and Offset: Gain: Increase the gain (1-10) to increase the sensitivity of the Ovilus X if the gain is to high The Ovilus will tend to talk to much. To low the Ovilus may not talk at all. OFFSET: Offset settings are like a filter to reject unwanted triggering of the Ovilus X If the setting is to low the Ovilus may talk excessively.

This is by far the longest section of the manual dealing with testing and changing the Internal Word List for the Ovilus X and external devices like the DTD or the OSD. The Ovilus X doesn’t store words as Text, they are all stored as phonetic words.
