When the BAT Universal Power Option is added to the MX2-N, the user has versatility in all environments by allowing the
MX2-N to operate in three power modes: Battery Power, AC Wall Power, or Manually. The batteries hold a charge
sufficient to destroy more than 100 hard drives. Anytime the MX2-N with BAT is plugged into a standard wall outlet the
batteries are being charged, even while destroying hard drives.
It the battery indicators show low power, the unit can be simply plugged into a standard wall outlet for both standard
operation and quick charging. An optional battery pack can also be plugged in to continue under battery power.
In addition the destroyer includes the manual feature found on all BOW's hard drive destroyers, allowing the operator full
time operation whether battery or electrical power is available or not. Features not found any place else.
Laptop Option with Holder (LTH) – Allows the destroyer to process 2.5" Form Factor Laptop Drives. Swapping supports
takes approximately 10 seconds. The holder allows the operator to stow the supports when not in use. The magnetic
mounting enables the holder to simply mount to the back of the unit. When the CASE option is ordered a tool box is
supplied instead of the holder.
Universal Power (BAT) – Allow the MX2-N to operate in three modes: Battery Power, AC Wall Power, or Manually. The
BAT option adds the battery feature to the standard unit.
External Battery Pack (EBP) – Adds an additional external battery pack to the MX2-N with BAT option.
Battery Charger (CHG) – Allows the EBP External Battery Pack to be charged separately from the destroyer's on board
charger. Allows the operator to have a fully charged battery ready to go at all times.
Rear Output Slide (ROS) - The hard drives typically are removed from the front of the unit. Because of the versatility of
BOW's destroyers this option also allows for the ejection of the hard drives out the back of the unit, giving the user the
ability to discharge the drive into a disposal bin or container, requiring less operator handling and increasing throughput
by up to 20%.
Rackmountable Slide-out Shelf (EIA) – For mounting in standard 19-inch EIA racks. This option allows the user to
conveniently stow the destroyer when not in use and pull it out when needed, saving all too valuable table-top space. This
option includes the MNT kit (see below).
Remote Control Communication (RCC) – RJ45 connector for operating destroyer with other equipment such as
computers and robotics.
Universal Mount Kit (MNT) – This option allows the customer to mount the destroyer to various surfaces, including
carts, truck floors, racks, etc.
Transport & Storage Case (CASE) – A heavy duty Pelican® case with custom insert made specifically for the destroyer.
