Before a product or assembly is returned to Datamars Ltd for service or analysis, please advise us beforehand so that a Return Authorisation (RA) number can be allocated. The RA number will ensure that we are ready for the product when it is received and assist us in providing efficient and prompt service.

If the energizer passes these performance tests, advise the customer that their own battery is likely to be faulty.

When performing this test, always use a battery to power the energizer. To ensure accuracy of measurement, the output voltage of this energizer should be tested using either an Energizer Performance Meter (EPM) or a Digital Voltmeter (DVM) (part number 880 0001-487 (822645) PEL, 880 0000-178 (806217) Patriot, 880 0001-528 (824663) Stafix, 880 0001-529 (824724) Speedrite).

If the handle has broken off, use a flat bladed screwdriver or blunt chisel and a hammer to tap away the stump of the handle.
