USER MANUAL
Thank you for purchasing the RCBS Digital Pocket Scale.
Please read all operating instructions carefully prior to
use. This electronic scale is a precision instrument, and will
provide years of reliable service. Never load the scale with
more than the maximum load capacity of 100 grams or 1500
grains. Overloading will permanently damage the scale.
Avoid any exposure to extreme heat or cold, your scale works
better when operated at normal room temperature. Always
allow the scale to acclimate to normal room temperature and
allow for sufficient warm up time prior to calibration. This is
done to ensure the internal components have stabilized and
reached thermal equilibrium. 30 minutes will be a sufficient
warm up period.
Keep your scale in a clean environment, free of dust, dirt and
moisture. Be aware of vibration and air currents as this can
also affect the scales performance. Maintain an adequate
distance from other electronic devices as some electronics
can cause an electrical disturbance which can also affect
the scales accuracy. Handle with care and apply all items to
be weighed directly onto the platform or in the provided
scale pan. This scale is built for its durability; however, try to
avoid unnecessary rough handling as this may permanently
damage the load cell.
Avoid shaking, dropping or otherwise shocking the scale. This
is a precision instrument and must be handled with extreme
care.
ONLY OPERATE THE SCALE ON A STABLE, VIBRATION FREE
SURFACE.
