    User manual 3.0 Setting up the EM6010 The EM6010 comes equipped with a hard disk which you do not need to built in yourself. It is however important that you configure and connect a couple of items before you can start using the EM6010, as explained below.

    3.2 Connecting the EM6010 to your TV or video monitor Now that the EM6010 is connected to the power grid you can also connect it to a television, video monitor or LAN network. In this paragraph we will explain how to connect the EM6010 to a television or monitor.

    ENGLISH 3.3 Configuring the EM6010 for use in your LAN network The EM6010 can be connected to a LAN network, allowing it to be accessed by computers on the network using the supplied software. The default network address of the EM6010 is 192.168.1.10. If this address does not lie in the range of your network or is already in use, consult your network administrator to receive a correct network address.

    Press the ‘Menu’ button to leave this screen and save the changes to the codes. Important: If you are using the EM6010 in a network, it is also of importance that you change the password of the default network user ‘admin’. Consult chapter 8.2.2 on how to exactly achieve this.

    4.3 Setting the date and time using a TV or video monitor Press the red ‘Menu’ button on the remote control. If the EM6010 asks for a code: Enter the Admin code as set in chapter 4.1. Use the ‘Down’ button to navigate to ‘Date’.

    ENGLISH 4.5 Software installation (optional) Place the CD-ROM as supplied with the EM6010 in the CD-ROM drive of your computer and follow the steps below to install the software. Choose your language and click ‘Next’. Choose ‘Install Java’ and click ‘Next’.

    The image will then be shown full screen. 6.0 Recording Now that the cameras have been installed you can set the EM6010 to record the images. The EM6010 supports three methods of recording. Each method has its own pros and cons.

    Persons will be recognizable if they stand still long enough, but actions can not be monitored. The EM6010 is equipped with an advanced image processor and can automatically switch between images per second during recording. This allows you to constantly record at 3 IPS and switch to 25 IPS during interesting moments.
