    INSTALLATION Open the battery door on the base of the unit BATTERY and install one 9 V battery. The battery is used INSTALLATION to save your messages in the event of a power failure. Your announcements and messages will be retained in memory for at least 50 hours during a power failure.

    BEFORE STARTING Use the switch on the right side of the unit to SETUP select the number of times you want the phone RING SELECT to ring before the system answers. 1. Set it to 2 if you want the system to answer all calls on the second ring 2.

    BEFORE STARTING Whenever you want to hear the current week- PLAY THE day and time, press (UHR) once. CURRENT TIME NOTE: 1 for Sunday, 2 for Monday, 3 for Tuesday, 4 for Wednesday, 5 for Thursday, 6 for Friday, 7 for Saturday.

    BEFORE STARTING 1. Prepare your announcement: Example: ”Hello, I can’t come to the phone right now. Please call back later. Thank you.” 2. Press and hold (ANS2) key for about two seconds and release to record ANS2 after hearing the beep. The message window will count from ”0”.

    OPERATION Memo is a message left for a family member. It RECORDING is stored by the system as an incoming message. A MEMO 1. Press and hold the (MEMO) key for about 2 seconds until the message window displays ”oo”. 2.

    OPERATION When the system answers a call in ”ANSWER & ANSWER CALLS RECORD” mode, the caller hears the announce- ment ANS1 followed by a beep. While the system is answering a call, the mes- sage window displays ”--”. The answer key will flash if a new message exists.

    OPERATION You can use the speaker volume control to LISTENING TO adjust the volume. It does not effect the level of YOUR MESSAGES the announcement heard by the caller. 1. Playback all messages: Press the ) key to hear all messages sequentially.

    OPERATION Deleting all old messages: ERASE OR SAVE Press and hold the (LÖSCHEN) key until ES (ERASE MESSAGE ALL) is displayed. All messages will be deleted. Please note: All memo recordings will also be deleted. Deleting Single messages: Press the (LÖSCHEN) key to erase the current playing message.

    REMOTE CONTROL You can use many features of the system when YOUR REMOTE you are away from home. To protect your ACCESS CODE privacy, most features can only be used after you have entered a Remote Access Code from a touch tone telephone.

    REMOTE CONTROL changes the remote access code. If you have left home, you can monitor the ROOM MONITOR room state on the telephone line by using the following steps: 1. Dial your telephone number from a touch tone telephone. 2. When the system answers, enter ” * ” to skip the ANS play, a beep tone will be heard 3.

    REMOTE CONTROL The system will beep and play your new an- nouncement. To listen to your announcement again, press ”1” or ”2” once after the security code. In order to reserve free memory for new mes- PLAYING sages, you may listen to the incoming messages YOUR MESSAGE and delete insignificant ones as follows: 1.

    REMOTE CONTROL • Deleting single messages: To delete only one selected message, press ”7” while the message is playing. To be sure you are deleting the right message, you can press ”4” to repeat the message and then press ”7” when you are sure that the system is playing the message you want to delete.
