The product is not suitable for sanitizing / sterilizing / disinfecting medical devices. • This product must not be equipped with a general lighting lamp, also the UVC lamp used in this product shouldn’t be installed in general lighting devices.
  • Page 10 The product is equipped with an IR sensor that detects the presence of people inside the work space, the activation of this sensor sends a shutdown command to the control console which is placed in a lockout condition. This safety measure is to be considered as second level therefore it is not to rely only on the operation of the sensor which must be integrated with one or more provisions indicated above.
  • Page 11 UVC TWIST® can be installed individually or in parallel (multiple units connected within the same environment). To facilitate installation, the UVC TWIST® is equipped with hooks (to be hung from the ceiling) and flanges (to be attached to the plasterboard or to the wall). A rotation “closure” system prevents UVC light from escaping when the lamps are facing the germicidal chamber.
  • Page 12 TIMES OF USE UVC TWIST Referring to the declared irradiance for the lamps used in terms of UVC energy, 1.7 w / m² at a distance of one meter in relation and to the doses reported in the official tables for the destruction of microorganisms, we can indicate that, with the cycles shown below in the different configurations, the killing of 99% of bacteria on surfaces and objects is achieved that are irradiated.

  • Page 15 UV BASICS Ultraviolet light belongs to the electromagnetic spectrum with a wavelength between 200 and 400 nm (nanome- ters), which is shorter than visible light, but longer than X-rays. All UV rays and bands are invisible to the human eye. The UV spectrum can be divided into the following bands: UV-A (Long Waves;...
  • Page 16 DOSAGE DETERMINES EFFICACY The amount of UV-C energy required to inactivate a given micro-organism is measured on the basis of the dose, which is determined by a combination of radiation energy and exposure time. A key difference between surface inactivation and airflow inactivation of micro-organisms is exposure time. The residence time in the UV field for micro-organisms in the airflow is in the order of seconds and would require a much higher UV-C dose compared to surface application.
