Achtung: Ein korrektes Einstellen der Steuerservos und des Steuerweges ist wichtig für einen
fehlerfreien und gut kontrollierbaren Flug. Starten Sie niemals Flugversuche ohne perfekt justierte
Servos. Ein nicht steuerbares Gleitschirmmodell mit entsprechendem Risikopotential würde die
Folge sein.
Vor dem Start ist zu prüfen:
- Steuerarme richtig eingestellt?
- Stehen Sie an einem leichten Hang mit freiem Feld vor Ihnen?
- Der Wind ist nicht zu stark und kommt direkt von vorne?
- Sender und Flug-Akkus sind vollgeladen?
- die Steuerfunktionen und –Richtungen sind überprüft?
- Keine Knoten / Verschlingungen in den Leinen?
- Tragegurte nicht verdreht / verhängt?
Dann steht dem ersten Flug nichts mehr im Wege!
Now you can check whether the brake line settings are correct. In neutral position, the glider is not
braked, that means: the rear edge of the wing should not be pulled down. The lower profile of the wing
should be straight in the wind. With the controls to the right, you should see a significant lowering of
the right edge of the wing and the glider will immediately move to the right. Once you pull down the
elevator, both sides of the rear edge of the glider will be lowered and the glider will stall and drop to
the ground. If this is the case, then you have already found the correct setting. Should there be no
reaction on the rear edge of the wing, the brake lines are too long. Trimming is done in increments of
about one cm and is checked by performing repeated start tests.
Please check before flight:
- Servos adjusted?
- Are you standing on a slight slope with an open field in front of you?
- The wind is not too strong and comes directly from the front?
- Transmitter and flight batteries are fully charged?
- Control functions are checked?
- No knots or tangles in the lines?
- Risers are not twisted and properly hung?
Caution: A good setup of the brake line length is important and provides a stable and well
controlled flight. Never perform flight tests without perfectly adjusted brake lines.
Then the maiden flight can begin!
