(3) Print Head Alignment
Aligns the printhead. For details on printhead alignment, refer to
Alignment".
(4) Nozzle Check
Prints the nozzle check pattern to ensure the printhead nozzles are outputting ink
normally. For details, refer to
(5) Ink Counter Reset
Resets the ink counter to an initial value. Click this button each time you replace an ink
tank if you have enabled the low ink warning function.
(6) Low Ink Warning Setting
This allows you to enable the low ink warning function. This option is off by default.
(7) Custom Settings...
Click to modify the printer mode. Change the settings in the Custom Setting dialog
box and click Send to change printer mode.
(8) Start Status Monitor
Click to start the BJ Status Monitor, to check the printer status and the progress of
printing jobs.
Note
In Windows XP/Windows 2000, you may not select any maintenance
function if you invoke this tab from your application. In such a case, open
the Printer Properties dialog box directly from the Start menu
(see page 22).
