5. Insert the directionals (7 + 8) on the upper rod. First insert the North/South
directional (7) and orient the letter N to true North. Place the East/West direc-
tional (8) on the North/South directional and secure both elements on the rod
(9).
6. Place the small copper rod (10) with the big opening first on the upper rod (9).
7. Secure the brass ring (4) over the globe with the brass hook (11).
8. Finally, place the weathercock (13) on the thin end of the rod. The cock has to
move freely. Turn the brass hook (11) that way to make sure that the top of
the safety plate (12) is situated under the directional arrow, so the cock can-
not fall off.
