SAFETY INFORMATION • When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire. -

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 1. To Attach Battery Pack Battery-release a. Align the raised portion on the battery pack button with the grooves on the bottom of the tool, then slide the battery pack onto the tool, as shown. b. Make sure that the latches on the battery pack snap into place and the battery pack is secured to the tool before beginning operation. - Page 9 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 3. Adjusting the Depth of Cut The depth-adjustment knob (C) is used to control the amount of material that is removed in one pass. Turn the depth-adjustment knob so that the triangle on the tool housing lines up with the desired setting on the depth-knob scale (D).

Dust/Chip-Extraction Port The planer is equipped with a dust/chip-extraction port (I), which may be used with a dust bag (Q) or a vacuum adapter (not included) to keep your work environment cleaner. Firmly attach the dust bag or vacuum adapter (not included) to the extraction port.
