HRD 92 S.C In case of large leaks, do not leave the detector on the point of leakage, which saturates the cell and can reduce its sensitivity. • The detector is a measuring device and must be handled as such. He fears violent shocks, corrosive or salty atmospheres.
HRD 92 S.C DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE DETECTOR’S MODULES The device is delivered in plastic suitcase, with wedging foam including : • The detector housing includes the battery packs and the processing electronics. • A Detection Block with quick release, connected by cable to the housing and...
HRD 92 S.C One Lighted display with from left to right : • ORANGE light « D » : WAIT function during warm-up period : WAIT function during degassing period • GREEN light « 0 » • RED lights « 1, 2 ,3 ,5, 10 » : Indicating the leak level after calibration of the Detector.
HRD 92 S.C CALIBRATION The detector is calibrated on delivery. Initial Calibration can be changed by opening the Detector cabinet and should only be performed by a qualified person with the necessary equipment. START UP The Detector is designed for the detection of refrigerant gas leaks by sniffing at atmospheric pressure.

HRD 92 S.C The detection response time is less than the second. The operator must wait, for each point to control, the time necessary for a possible detection. • For quick response and good detection, the sniffer probe should be as close as possible to the leakage point to be controlled.
HRD 92 S.C ADJUSTING THE SENSITIVITY AND TYPE OF GAS • ADJUSTING THE SENSITIVITY : using the Sensitivity Inverter > UP position « x1 » Normal sensitivity. Estimated reading of the value of the leak on the graduated ramp > CENTRAL position « HI » Sensitivity 3 times stronger Reading on the graduated ramp 0.3, 0.6, 1, 1.5, 3 g/year...
HRD 92 S.C ZERO & AMBIENT CONTAMINATION • The detector automatically adjusts its ZERO according to the ambient conditions. The detector's automatic zeroing allows leak detection in contaminated conditions • However, contamination always produces a 'masking' effect on leaks and it should be limited as much as possible.
• As part of the Quality Assurance standards, we recommend that you carry out an annual audit at the Vulkan manufacturer, which will draw up a verification report in accordance with the EN 14624 standard valid for one year.
HRD 92 S.C OPERATING ANOMALIES The main defect of the detector is a long response time following the detection of a leak. It can be due to several factors: • Check for clogging of the pipe or filter (main factor).
BATTERY REPLACEMENT The replacement of the battery pack is done by opening the case of the detector. Only one VULKAN battery pack must be used. Remove the 4 screws from the box Unscrew the wires from the old battery block of the battery terminal block Screw the wires of the new battery pack in the correct polarity : Red wire>...
- Crushing, pull off, obstruction of the sniffing pipe. The guarantee is strictly limited to the repair of the detectors, the supplier who cannot be, in no case, held responsible for the direct or indirect consequences of the use of VULKAN material.
