Trip lever assembly

PENN REPAIR BULLETIN
The assembly of the Trip Lever Link can be diffi cult. The proper location of the Trip Lever and Trip Lever Link
is critical for easy assembly of the Bail Arm on the Trip Lever Link. Please follow the below instructions for
step by step assembly of these parts.

Step 1

After you remove the Bail Arm Retaining Ring the Bail Arm will come off of the Rotor. The Trip Lever must be
pushed down so the Trip Lever Link can be above it. The Trip Lever Link will then be resting on the boss of the
rotor with one leg sticking up & the other leg located in the hole of the Pivot Guide

  • Page 2 Step 2 The Trip Lever Link is now in place to slide the hole in the Bail Arm over the leg on the Trip Lever Link. Step 3 Slowly lift up & rotate the Bail Arm as you would when opening the Bail Wire (be care- ful that the Trip Lever Link does not come out of the Bail Arm).
