Procedure for Saving and Reloading Camera Factory Settings
In order to preserve all settings in your camera in their current state please follow the below instruction
carefully and in order. If steps are skipped or done in the incorrect order the Factory Default settings,
unique to your camera, may be lost.
Creating a Backup of your Cameras Current Settings
1) Ensure that you are running the latest version of Pilot (must be 1.2.15 or later)
a. To check your version of Pilot, Open Pilot
b. Open the Help menu in the top left of Pilot
c. Select About
d. Look at the Tool Version: for your version of Pilot.

2) Save a copy of your Merge Settings for later use
a. Open Pilot
b. Open the Imaging Parameters menu and the Merge tab
c. Under the Capture and Replace Merge Settings, click the Browse button next to Output
Path:
i. Select a location to save your Merge Settings. The file created will be needed
d. Once you have selected an Output Path, press the Retrieve Camera Settings button
3) Download and Install FLI Camera Programmer app
a. Go to the Support page of our website:
b. Download the Kepler Camera Firmware Updater file
c. Unzip the KeplerCameraFirmwareUpdater.zip file to a location on your harddrive
d. Open the folder and run the FLIP_Installer... application file
e. Once the installation has completed successfully please move on to the next step
4) Save a copy of your Camera Configuration for later use
a. Close all open FLI programs (Pilot, Grab, etc)
b. Open FLI Camera Programmer
c. Connect and Power on your Camera (if not already on)
d. Your camera should appear in the Detected Devices window
e. Once the Camera has been detected, press the Connect button next to the Connected
Device window
f. Change the Device Type dropdown to Camera Configuration
g. Press the Upload... button
h. Select a location on your hard drive to save the Configuration file
i. We recommend labeling it as Camera Configuration SerialNumber
