#300-796 Subwoofer Amplifier
The above graph is an actual measurement of the frequency response of the
#300-796 subwoofer amplifier. The frequency response was measured while
running the amplifier into an 8 ohm dummy load. However, the absolute levels in
dB that are expressed are of no meaning. The three lines shown in the graph are
with the crossover point set to the highest level, in the middle, and to the lowest
level.
As it can be seen in the graph, determining an exact low frequency F3 is
somewhat difficult. The measurement will depend on what is determined to be
the "reference" output level. Assuming the output at 100 Hz is a good reference
level, the low frequency F3 is again about 19 Hz. But, it can also be seen that
with changes in the low-pass active crossover adjustment, the apparent F3 will
also change. However, the low frequency cutoff overall is steeper in this situation
as compared to the #300-794.
