On your tablet, go to Settings > Biometrics & password > Smart Unlock, and enable
Smart Unlock.

Follow the onscreen instructions to set the lock screen password. Skip this step if a lock
screen password has already been set.

On Smart Unlock the screen, touch Add device, select the desired Bluetooth device from
the Paired devices list, and follow the onscreen instructions.
After it has been selected, the Bluetooth device name will be displayed in the Unlocking
Devices list.
When your tablet is connected to a Bluetooth device, turn on the screen of your tablet
and swipe on the screen to unlock it.

Enable Enhanced Mode
For greater security, enable Enhanced mode when using Smart Unlock so your tablet will
only be unlocked when it detects a Bluetooth device that supports Enhanced mode.
On the Smart Unlock screen, enable Enhanced mode and perform operations as prompted.
It may take some time for your tablet to establish a trusted connection with a Bluetooth
device.
The Bluetooth device will then authenticate your tablet when:
The Bluetooth device is near your tablet.
You are wearing the Bluetooth device.
Your tablet has previously been unlocked using any unlock method (PIN, pattern, or
password) on this device.
Encrypt Memory Card Data
You can encrypt files stored on a memory card. Encrypted files can only be viewed and used
on your device.

Insert a memory card into your tablet and ensure that the memory card has sufficient
storage space.

Go to Settings > Security > More settings > Encryption and credentials.

Touch Encrypt memory card and follow the onscreen instructions.
During the encryption, do not restart your tablet or forcibly remove the memory card.
Otherwise, the encryption may fail or data may be lost.
To decrypt a memory card, touch Decrypt memory card and follow the onscreen instructions
to decrypt files on the memory card. Formatting a memory card can also decrypt the
memory card, but will erase all data on the memory card.
Encrypting and decrypting the memory card will not be supported if you are not logged
in to a tablet as the Owner.
