- Page 2 Maintenance Tips Maintain optimum crimp strength: With tool open, hold one handle while placing the other handle on a scale. Monitor the downward pres- sure required to close handles. Properly adjusted tool will require 10-15lbs of pressure. If adjustment is required twist locking screw counter- clockwise to loosen.
