If only one accessory is connected to EHEIM air pumps 200
and 400, which are provided with two air connections,
please use a T-type connector available from your dealer.
Never operate an air connection without a "load", i.e.
without hose and outlet.
- Place the outlet (4) in the aquarium.
- Connect the mains plug with the socket.
Monitor the water level and ensure the correct drip loop.

Air volume adjustment

- The required air volume can be adjusted by turning the con-
trol knob (1).
- Set the required bubble pattern (5) at the outlet (4) (e.g. using
a coin) (Fig. B).

Cleaning and maintenance

- Regularly check air filter (9) (Fig. C) for contamination, and
replace if required.
- The felt washer of the EHEIM outlet (4) may become clogged
after some time. This will lead to an increased counter pres-
sure reducing the flowrate and increasing the wear to the dia-
phragm. You should therefore replace the felt washer of your
EHEIM outlet at regular intervals.
