Installing the Custom Dynamics LPF-RAD Tag Frame with the
Cadence Motorsports 2018 and Later Harley-Davidson
Fat Bob

GENERAL

These instructions are applicable to the Cadence Motorsports
CMS-20180810-001 and CMS-20190627-001 Tag Mounts.

Installation Requirements

Refer to the Custom Dynamics LPF-RAD installation instructions,
included with this kit, for additional information.
Loctite 243 Medium Strength Thread locker and Sealant – Blue
(HD Part number 99642-97) is required for proper installation of
this product.
THIS PRODUCT IS DESIGNED TO BE INSTALLED AND USED
ONLY ON MOTORCYCLES FITTED WITH AN OE SIZE REAR
TIRE. INSTALLING THIS PRODUCT ON A MOTORCYCLE
EQUIPPED WITH A LARGER REAR TIRE COULD RESULT IN
DAMAGE TO THE MOTORCYCLE, DEATH OR SERIOUS
INJURY TO THE RIDER, OR BOTH.
The rider's safety depends upon the correct installation of
this product. Read and follow each step of these installation
procedures. Use appropriate service manual procedures
where available. If the procedure is not within your
capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a
qualified service technician or Harley-Davidson dealer
perform the installation for you. Improper installation of this
product could result in vehicle damage, death or serious
injury, or both.
This instruction sheet references service manual and/or auxiliary
Harley-Davidson product information that may be required to
complete this installation. These are available from a Harley-
Davidson dealer.
FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS
Check state and local laws regarding the use of this product
and ensure that all laws are obeyed. Most states require tag
illumination. Tag illumination and wiring is not included. The
tag mount has been designed to work with the OE reflector
where required by law.

PREPARATION

Kit Contents
1 (one) Custom Dynamics LPF-RAD tag frame kit
5 (five) stick-on zip tie mounts
6 (six) small zip ties

Tools Required

Small pair of side cutters

INSTALLATION

To prevent accidental vehicle start-up, which could cause
death or serious injury, remove main fuse before proceeding.
Refer to your service manual for the proper procedure for
removing your main fuse.
If motorcycle has been running, wait until engine and exhaust
pipes have cooled before performing any installation steps to
avoid injury. Secure the bike in a proper service stand.
1. Remove the seat.
2. Remove the two OE fender bolts or OE Holdfast Docking
Hardware bolts from the left side of the fender (Fig 1-A) and loosen
the OE fender bolts on the right side.
3. Remove the two OE external fender support bolts (Fig 1-B) and
the one internal fender mounting bolt (Fig 1-C) to remove the (left
side only) fender support from the bike. Be careful not to pull on
the wiring that is channeled through the fender support.
4. Remove the OE tag light wiring from the fender mount channel.
5. Route the OE tag light wiring under the edge of the fender to the
rear of the bike (Fig 2).
6. Using the supplied alcohol wipes, clean the locations where you
plan to attach the stick-on zip tie mounts under the fender (Fig 2).
