    HOW TO OPERATE Before using for the first, it is recommended that you clean your '50s-STYLE WATER KETTLE. Simply boil a full kettle of water and then discard the water. Repeat process once more.     HELPFUL TIPS BOIL-DRY PROTECTION As a safety measure, your '50s-STYLE WATER KETTLE is eqipped with boil-dry protection. Should you accidentally operate the unit without water, it will automatically switch off. If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool before filling with cold water and then boil the water. KETTLE AND RED INDICATOR LIGHT DO NOT WORK Make sure the kettle is seated properly on the Base and that the power cord is plugged into a working electrical outlet.
